Using those elements and statuses when creating new monsters or adding older monsters would help balance out the cast.įor example, the game could really do with more Ice monsters, such as Gammoth and Zamtrios. There are also different status effects that can be used, such as Poison, Paralysis, Sleep and Blast. Of course, we can't change the past, and all that can be done by Capcom from here on out is utilize the four other elements more. The subspecies in particular could've been made with more variety to avoid this issue. The Violet Mizutsune should've been anything except Fire because, thanks to the Apex version being in the game already, it didn't need it. ![]() The Pyre Rakna-Kadaki could've been a monster that utilized Paralysis in its thread. The Magma Almudron could've been reworked into an Ice monster rather than a Fire monster. Capcom could've balanced things differently. To recap on the current pool of monsters in Sunbreak: out of 20 total monsters, 10 are fire-based. ![]() Because the developers continue to add fire monsters, you'll have to use this set a lot more than the others, which makes the overall game plan of hunting those monsters rather repetitive. In order to beat the monsters optimally, you'll have to stick to your armor that resists Fire and your Water weapon. In the case of Fire monsters, their weakness tends to be Water. ![]() When you have many monsters of the same element, the game plan for those monsters tend to be the same because they usually have similar weaknesses, which in turn makes the hunting experience more repetitive.
